Care for Your Naturally Dyed Garments
Natural dyes carry a unique charm—subtle shade variations, sometimes even within the same garment, are part of the handmade process, not flaws. Each piece is as unique as the hands that made it !
Care:
Preferable to hand wash or gentle machine wash cold
Wash inside out
Use mild, pH-neutral detergent, do not bleach
It’s normal for naturally dyed garments to bleed some color in first few washes
Wash separately or with like colors
Air dry in the shade only
Natural dyes are sensitive to direct sunlight
Avoid tumble dry
Natural dyes don’t always require washing after every wear
Wash less often. Air out in the shade to freshen
Important tip:
Avoid direct contact with citric fruits like lemon, oranges, and vinegar that can bleach or damage natural dyes
Store away from direct light to prevent fading
Iron on low if needed
Let your garment age beautifully!
